Akumu-chan - Ep 9

There's only two more episode left for this series. But I really do wish that this series was a bit longer because the second half of this show has just started to get interesting.

A mysterious magazine publisher are scouting random children and inviting them to become amateur models for their magazines. However, those who attended the photo shoot sessions, have gone missing and never heard from again. So, Yuiko, Ayami, and the school nurse decides to investigate this situation. Upon further research, they discover that this organization is actually an adoption service where they kidnap children and sell them to families overseas who wants to adopt them.

I'm not sure if this part is trying to give us some hints about Shiki's past. But this episode mentions about a boy named Kousuke who was sent to a foster care because he was abused by his own parents. And, it also talked about how some kids are much happier living with their overseas parents than their actual parents including those who have been abused by them. Then, the scene cuts to Shiki. I'm not sure if this has any connection to his past.

Anyway, Shiki gets a visit by the men in black and their leader who calls himself Tommy Lee. Lee wants to work with him because he also as an interest in Yuiko's ability. He makes an offer to provide him with unlimited financing and making them famous around the world. (insert Shiki's evil laugh.)

Yuiko gets a precognitive dream about herself getting kidnapped by the men in black. So, Ayami decides to take Yuiko home with her to keep her safe. But they get a surprise visit by Shiki in the middle of the night. He threatens Ayami at gun point to hand over Yuiko to him.

Even though he betrayed them, I still think that he might be planning something up his sleeves. Or, he could be acting as a double agent. I don't know, I give up on trying to figure him out.

It would be so cool to be rescued by the Power Rangers
