Akumu-chan - Eps 7-8

Psycho-sensei!

I'm beginning to think that Shiki might not be a bad guy as I thought he would be. And, I think he genuinely wants to help others. But in episode 8, they finally reveals more information about Ayami's past.

Episode 7

- Shiki wants Ayami to aid him in his research. And, if she doesn't bring Yuriko to him, then he will expose to the media that Yuiko can see precognitive dreams.

- But it seems that Shiki decides to take the matters into his own hands. So, his assistant kidnaps Yuiko to their research facility.

- Shiki manages to convince Yuiko that her precognitive dreams can help others find a meaning behind their dreams.

-So, Yuiko decides that she wants to stay with Shiki and help his patients. she doesn't want to become a burden to her grandfather and Ayami anymore.

-Ayami discovers that the school nurse was helping out Shiki to get Yuiko's dream.

-Ayami decides to resign from her work. She feels that she is not fit to be a teacher. Mainly because, her childhood past is beginning to haunt her.

Episode 8

- However, the principle won't let her quite just yet. Until, she can make the children accept her reason for quiting as their teacher.

- Her students finds photos on the internet, capturing Yuiko with a blurred face. They start to suspect that it is actually her.

-To protect Yuiko's identity, Ayami tells them that it was her that dreamed about all these precognitive dreams. She takes full responsibility for it. She also tells them that this is reason why she is going to resign.

-Ayumi tells Kotou that the reason why she wants to resign is because she killed her friend's mother.

-However, Kotou already knows what really happened during that incident and knows about her past. He reveals to her that she used to have precognitive dreams as a child.

-When he first heard about rumors about her unusual power. He visited the orphanage to see her and wanted to draw a dream card from her.

-So, he used his own daughter to get close to her. Then, Ayami meets her friend's mother and later on, they treated her as part of their own family.

-Ayami doesn't remember any of this and doesn't recall being used as part of his research.

-Kotou did saw the incident where his wife being pushed off the subway's platform by Ayami. But he saw it in one of her precognitive dreams.

-In reality, his wife jumped off the platform to rescue a little girl (who looked similar to Ayami), who fell onto the train tracks. But it was too late for Kotou's wife who couldn't get back onto the platform when the train came.

-During the funeral, Ayami's friend blamed her for killing her mother. That's when she fainted and woke up not remembering anything about them and about the incident.

-Kotou decided to end his research after that. Later on, his daughter died of a sickness, leaving him a granddaughter to care of. He eventually reopens his research, after he discovers that Yuiko has precognitive nightmares.

-Koutou reassures her that the tragedy was just a dream. He believes that she’s the only one who can save Yuiko because he doesn’t her to experience the same tragedy like Ayami did.  Yuiko is the only who can save her to help her put her faith in others.

-In the end, Ayami decides to withdrawal her resignation and continue to teach her class.

Well, it's good know that Ayami is not a psycho-killer. But I wonder if this show is ever going to reveal Shiki's back story.
