Inu x Boku SS - Special

I almost forgot how I missed this anime. This is an unaired Special that was released with the seventh volume of the Blu-ray & DVD. The Special contains three short stories written by the author of the series Fujiwara Cocoa.

Miketsukami-kun’s Transformation

Cuteness overload

Even though Ririchiyo and Miketsukami are a couple now, Ririchiyo has been feeling more self-conscious than ever.  But it’s mostly due to the fact that they have the whole mansion to themselves without anyone to bother them.  This makes Ririchiyo very nervous.  Miketsukami notices her nervousness.  So, he decides to transform himself in to a child to make her more at ease.  It works for a short while, but later she gets freaked out by babying a 22 year old guy. Then, he transform into a woman, to make her more comfortable to talk to someone who is the same gender as her.  He/she tries to give lessons to her on how to be intimate with someone and practice on how to be more comfortable with each other. But before things go too far, they get interrupted by Sorinozuke and Nobara.

Switch
"That switch has a delayed reaction. All in good time. Prepare yourself."  0_0

This story wasn’t really that interesting, but I’ll quickly sum this up.  It’s pretty much just other characters trying to push each others “switches” or pokes them and seeing how they’ll respond to it.  However, my favorite moment was when Ririchiyo pokes Miketsukami.  His reaction gets very dark.  And, Ririchiyo slowly backs away from him.

Playing House

Kotarou introduces everyone to his sister, Hana. He has to look after her while their mother is away.  Everyone decides that they should play a game together. So, Hana decides that she wants to play a family role-playing game.  Each person is assigned a role to play in such as, Ririchiyo plays as the mother, Kotarou as the father, Sorinozuke as the grandpa, Karuta as the grandma, and Miketsukami as the delivery man. But later on in the game, it starts to turn into a soap opera drama when Miketsukami puts his moves on Ririchiyo. That’s when they decide to stop the game because it's becoming not too kid-friendly.

In round 2 of the game, they decide to switch roles. This time Nobara and Sorinizuke play as the mother and father.  Ririchiyo, Kotaru, and Hana are the siblings. And, Miketsukami plays as a dog (perfect).  But in the middle of their game, Kagerou comes barging in and claiming that he’s the real father. Next, Nobara and Kagerou battle each other to the death. But Kagerou easily loses. In the end, we’ll never know who the real father is.

Thoughts: The Special was decent, but it was nice to see some of my favorite characters again. My favorite part of this episode was “Playing House,” where Miketsukami flirts with Ririchyo. Now, that soap opera drama just got interesting. It's too bad they get interrupted by a kid watching them. Actually, I like all the parts with Miketsukami. He seems to get the best moments in this episode. Anyway, this series always manages to brighten my day.  After watching this, it almost makes me want to re-watch the whole series. But I am still crossing my fingers for a sequel to this series.
