Yuri!!! on Ice | Ep 10
It’s a
nice breather episode where the skaters can take a short break, get to know one
and other, get married, and reflect how far they’ve come.
The Grand Prix Finale will take place in Barcelona, Spain. They still have a couple of days before it starts, so that they have time to practice, relax, do some sightseeing and etc. Here’s’ a quick rundown on who made it to the top 6 (not in order) Yuri, Yurio, Chis (Swiss), Jean-Jacques (Can), Phichit (Thai) Otabek (Kazakhstan).
Otabek gets to have more screen time. He won second place at last year's GPF. We also learn about
his mysterious life. He doesn’t socialize with the other skates. But he does
talk to Yurio, he admires his “go getter” attitude and it reminded him of himself.
He has trained with Yurio, under the same coach five years ago. He’s been
traveling around the world training hard to win the championship. I’m assuming
that he had some hardships along the way, but he made all though here. And with
that he actually want to be Yurio’s friend. To Yurio’s surprised, no one has
ever asked him this.
I can’t
believe what I am seeing. It’s obvious now that Victor and Yuri’s relationship
is turning into a very close bond. They both learn from each other the meaning
of Life and Love. Yuri bought matching gold rings, as a good luck charm and a
thank you for everything that he has done. Yes it’s confirmed, Victor and Yuri
are engaged.
My favorite scene where everyone is gathered together and they all find out about this “engagement.” Victor further teases them that they are getting married…. if Yuri wins gold. I think this puts everyone on edge. Another favorite moment was the story about Yuri got very drunk at last year’s banquet before the Finals. He doesn’t even remember that he already asked Victor to be his coach and he also engaged everyone in a wild dance battle. Everyone has pictures of him on their phones to prove this and that is why I loved the ending credits.
I feel so
sad that the show is almost coming to an end, but I don’t want to think about
it right now. So far, I’m really loving Yuri!!!
on Ice. Not just for the skating, but also for the character development. I’m
really enjoying watching Yuri and Victor’s relationship grow, it feels very real
and heart wrenching. I want them to stay together forever. Yuri has come a long
ways, he’s grown from being poor little Yuri to a sexy delicious katsudon. Look
how far he has come, he’s at the GPF. It’s all comes down to, will Yuri win
gold? We’ll have to wait and see.
