LIMIT - First Impression (Eps 1-2)
Konno Mizuki's (Sakuraba Nanami) class are on their
way to an exchange camp, until their bus driver falls unconscious and the bus plummets
off a cliff. Unfortunately, many of the students did not
survive the accident. But Mizuki and four other students are the only
survivors.
They discover that their cellphones has no signal
and they can't call for help. So, Kamiya Chieko (Tsuchiya Tao) quickly goes
into a survival mode. She suggest that they should all remain where they are until
rescue comes. She gathers supplies and anything that she can salvage from the
bus.
In every survival situation, there's always a crazy
person and that is Morishige Arisa (Yamashita Rio). She has no remorse for
Himesawa Sakura's (Takada Riho) death because she has always been bullied by
her and her cliques. Arisa creates a caste system to divide their rations
of food among themselves. With her as the
"empress," only four people can get food, but the person who is a
"slave" gets nothing and that is Ichinose Haru (Kudo Ayano). Arisa provokes Haru to fight with Mizuki to
switch positions with her. She knows
that Haru has always been jealous of Mizuki's friendship with Sakura.
The drama is an adaptation of the 6 volume manga by Keiko Suenobu who is the same person who did LIFE, which it had an excellent Jdrama adaptation. So, I'm hoping that Limit will turn out good. So far, it's following closely to the manga, but with minor changes. But I only read up to volume 2 of the manga, so I
I don't know what's in store for theses school
girls. I admit that I'm liking the drama adaptation more than the manga itself because it does do a better job at building up the suspense and I like the tone of it.
I guess the moral lesson here is that they need to
work together, put aside their differences and focus on surviving. But it looks
like things will get complicated. And, there will be lots of tension between these
girls. Whatever happened in their past will reflect on how well they will trust each other and themselves to survive.
So, I'm curious where this story goes and I'll
continue to watch it.
