Kazoku Game - Ep 8

Well, congratulations Yoshimoto. You finally pushed the Numatas over the edge and broke them. Now, how are they going to clean up their mess?

Yoshimoto finds out about Shinichi's plan to drop out of school from talking to Maki, who is worried about him. So Yoshimoto makes a deal with him that if he successfully graduates from school, then he will do whatever he asks of him. In response, Shinichi wants him to die. But Yoshimoto has already planned this game ahead of time to get him kicked out of school. Now, Shinichi knows about the photos that Yoshimoto gave to his ex-girlfriend.

Returning home after school, Shinichi gets a call from his school saying that they want to talk to him and his parents. So, Yoshimoto and Shinichi's mom goes with him to see his teacher. Shinichi knows that he's going to be in big trouble and was expecting his teacher to talk about photos. However, his teacher talks to them about something else that has nothing to do with photos. So, Shinichi is safe. And, I'm assuming that this meeting was set up by Yoshimoto who put on an act to make Shinichi believe that his troubles will be exposed. (oh, he is good.)

Later, the father tells his family that he's been fired from his job. The company finds out that he used their money to pay for the debts. Then, Yoshimoto uses this opportunity to tell the family that they all fell for his trap. He even reveals that Maki was working for him the entire time. He planned the affair of Maki and the father to happen. This was the start of the family's down fall. They all acted according to Yoshimoto's plan that he set up for them. After he finishes taunting the Numata's, the father kicks him out. Shigeyuki is  disappointed that Yoshimoto tricked his family. But Yoshimoto is more disappointed in him. After helping him to deal with the bullying, he is becoming a bully himself.  Yoshimoto also says to him that he was a bad student.

After Yoshimoto leaves, the Numatas showed their true feelings about each other. They let out all of their emotions that were bottled inside of them for so long by destroying their home.

Thoughts: It's so heart breaking to watch Yoshimoto leave Shigeyuki like that at the end. But I don't blame Shigeyuki. He's still a kid and he will make mistakes. Anyway, this family needs some serious therapy.

It looks like the next episode will reveal a lot more about Yoshimoto's past. This should be interesting.
