Akumu-chan: Eps 10-11 (Final)

Continuing where episode 9 left off, Shiki decides to let Ayami and Yuiko go for now. But after that, Ayami did go to the police to tell them that Shiki is behind the disappearance of children at her school. However, the police won't do anything about it until there is some sort of proof that he is behind this. So, she continues investigate on her own to find out who is behind the kidnapping of children. Also, to rescue Yuiko who gets kidnapped by Shiki who hides her on a ship.

Before Yuiko gets kidnapped, she warns Ayami not to come and rescue her because she saw in her precognitive dream that Ayami will kill Shiki and get arrested for murder. But Ayumi refuses to let Shiki get away with it and confronts him on her own. Shiki already knew that she will be coming after him and even admits that he actually likes her, before throwing himself overboard.

The police put her into custody. But Shiki's assistance puts the record straight as he explains what was really going on with Shiki. He was actually on Ayami's side the whole time. Ha! I knew it. Shiki was the good guy all along. He actually refused Lee's offer. But Lee threatens him that if he doesn't join their side, then he will make Ayumi disappear like the rest of children. Shiki had no choice, but to act as the bad guy.

Episode 11

Yuiko goes into shock and into a deep sleep state, thinking that Ayami actually killed Shiki. But Ayami finds a way to subconsciously connect with her in her dream and help her wake up to reality.

Not surprisingly, Shiki is alive. However, they do reveal a shocking twist about him. Then, the show ends there with that surprising cliffhanger. But at least all the characters have gotten their happy ending.

Final thoughts: At first glance, I didn't think it was going to that interesting. I thought this drama was going to be just a kiddie show, but it's more of a family drama where anybody can enjoy it. But I'm glad that the side stories are not tedious or boring. It doesn't waste any time and it still manages to make good progress with the main story. Each episode always ends with a cliffhanger and it keeps me excited to know what's going to happen next. I really liked Ayami's development. I  also was rooting for Shiki. Thanks to this mysterious charater, I got interested in the drama. All in all, I had a good time watching this drama. And, it's one of my favorite 2012 drama.

Happy New Year!, Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!

  1. I hoped that they could have shown Shiki in the end and not just a brief glance of his smile... And also this is the first time in my life I experienced Gackt. I know,, where have I been all my life, rite?? I thought "Why did they cast no-name actor to star with Keiko?? Who was that messy-haired, odd-looking guy??" AND turned out it was Gackt to whom I've heard of the huge name since the last decade or so... =,= I immediately felt stupid as if I've been living under a rock... But hey, Shiki's cool.

Will there be an SP for this?? It's unfair for fans to ended this in a cliff hanger.

    1. I have not heard any news that they'll be making a SP. I doubt that they will make one.

I'm not really a big fan of Gackt, but I did enjoy his performance in this drama and I didn't mind the cliffhanger. But since you're a fan, it's understandable.
