Story: This psychological thriller, based on the manga written and illustrated by Sakae Esuno, is about Yuki, a loner who's not very good with people. He prefers to write a diary on his cell phone and talk to his imaginary friend, Deus Ex Machina – The God of Time and Space. However, Yuki soon learns that Deus is more than a figment of his imagination when he makes Yuki participate in a battle royale with eleven others. The contestants are given special diaries that can predict the future, each diary possessing unique features that give it both advantages and disadvantages. Within the next 90 days, the contestants must try to survive until there is only one left standing. The winner will become the new God of Time and Space. (source: MyAnimeList, Wikipedia,)

Brief thoughts: It was an intense and fun psychological-thriller series to watch. Usually this means that a story with this type of genre has at least one psycho character in it. And, that's Yuno. She is the main reason why I love this show. It was entertaining to watch Yuno's personality transitions from a cute-stalker girl to a maniac killer. She was crazy unpredictable, as well as her alter ego was fun and disturbing to watch. Although, this story was not just all about who-can-kill-who to win the game, but it does have a good character development. And, some of them do have an epithetic reason as to why they want to win so badly. But this series was a huge adrenalin rush for me. I mean, it was exciting, thrilling, suspenseful, funny, horrifying and weird at some times. It did have a lot of crazy plot twists that keeps you on your toes. But the story did captured my attention in wanting to know who will win the survival game and how these character were going to reach their goal. It does have some plot holes, but this series is best enjoyed not to over think the story.

Also, you probably heard this news by now, but Fuji TV will be adapting this series into a live-action drama, which will be released for this spring Jdrama season, starring Okada Masaki and Goriki Ayama. I'm sort of excited about it and at the same time dread that it will probably be bad. But I'll just have to wait and see and just hope that this will be good.
