Sunao ni Narenakute - Final Thoughts

I decided to take a look this drama because Eita and Juri Ueno were starring in it. They both previously starred in my favorite series, Nodame Cantabile drama and movie. However, the story begins with five people who meet through a social networking called Twitter. So, they decided to meet face to face in a cafe meeting. In addition, it deals with people who have personal problems which they later learn to either over come it or reconcile with. I have to warn you though, there will be spoilers down below.

It seems like Nakaji is a magnet for emotional problems from each his friends. First, he meets Haru who later takes an interest in him, but is uncertain about her feelings towards Nakaji. Similarity with Nakaji, he seems to like Haru, but he is having an affair with a another woman who is already married. Which that woman becomes jealous of Haru who sees her hanging out with Nakaji so often that tries to sabotage their friendship. Then, he meets the Doctor who takes an interest in Haru, but also finds out that Nakaji like her as well. So, there is some rivalry going on between the two of them. Then there is Peach, who all of a sudden confesses to Nakji that she likes him after he helped her took her to the hospital, after she had a miscarriage. However, that relationship lasted a very short time. Lastly there's Linda, who later confesses that he actually has feelings for Nakaji. So, it seems like everybody loves Nakaji. I was surprised that he did not mind at all for his friends to dump all their personal problems onto him. But I don't blame them for having to seek some guidance from him. I mean, he's the type of guy who can read people's emotional very easily. And, he provides all the emotional support for his friends.

Overall, I thought it was an interesting drama, but there isn't really anything new about this drama. It's basically a typical romance story with lots of drama going on. Plus, I was getting tiresome with this whole falling-in-love-with-multiple-people affair among the five Twitter friends. However, if you're interested in a complex love pentagon and comfortable with the over dramatizations, then this drama is for you. But for me, I'm not used to over dramatic situations, and maybe that's the one thing I was turned off by this drama.
