Yuri!!! on Ice - Episode 2

I’ve been thinking about bogging about this anime episodically, which I haven’t done this for a very long time (mostly I only do this for Jdramas). Lately, I’ve been slacking off and procrastinating a lot when it comes to my blogging habits. But there’s no guarantee that I will keep up with it. So, I’ll just experiment with this challenge and see what happens.

Victor comes to japan to become Yuri’s coach. He stays at the Yuri household and also gets free use of their onsen and meals. Lucky bastard. But more importantly, Victor is the type of guy who constantly needs to find new inspirations to stay on top of his game. There’s something special about Yuri that he sees and this sparks his creativity as a skater. As for Yuri, he’s flabbergasted that his favorite idol is going to train him. This helps him get motivated to get back into shape and back onto the ice again. In the end, they both get something out of from each other.

He is the eye of the tiger.

Meanwhile, Yurio (nicknamed by Yuri’s sister so we can tell them apart) is jealous that Victor is focusing more on Yuri and breaking his promise in helping him choreograph his program. He goes to Japan and to convenience him to go back to Russia. Yurio gets even mad when Victor decides to choreograph their programs both at the same time. They have one week to practice before the premier of the “Hot Springs Ice” show.  

   

Victor chooses the song and theme that they will performing. The theme of their program is LOVE…of course. They will be playing the role of Eros and Agape. Victor wants to spice things up, so he switches the roles on Yuri and Yurio that are opposite of their personalities. Since Yuri is an innocent guy, he will be playing as Eros, god of sexual desires. Yurio is the wild type, he’ll be playing as Agape – pure love. Yurio makes a bet that if he won the show than victor goes back to Russia with him and become his coach. If Yuri win, victor stays, trains him, and eats Katsudon together. 

Watching this felt like 5 minutes has gone by, which means that I am enjoying this way too much and I need serious help. I want MORE! Anyway, there's not much to say, since this is a build up of something awesome is going to happen in the next episode. I can't wait to see their ice performance and see who will win Victor's heart.
