Kagi no Kakatta Heya - Ep 10
Ep 10: The Glass Hammer
This will be the last locked case mystery story for this drama. And, this is only part one of the mystery. It's getting close to revealing Enomoto's story, but that won't be all revealed until the finale. Out of all the locked cases I've seen, I think that this one is the most intriguing one because Enomoto might be a suspect and Tamaki Hiroshi guest stars in this last case.
This locked room case takes place in a nursing company building. The president of the nursing company has been receiving threatening letters from an unknown source. Also, his office has a bullet hole on the window and on the wall. As if there was a sniper attempt. His co-workers are fearful of their president's life and that someone is threatening to kill him. So, they agree that they should upgrade their security system on the 12th floor of their building where his office is located. Seizawa calls in Enomoto to have him install new locks and security cameras. Enomoto also mentions that he has met the president on the job before, but the president seems to not recognize him and he says that most people do not acknowledge security staff as a person.
The next day, the president was found dead in his office. As usual, Aoto, Seizawa, and with the help of Enomoto, try to solve the mystery of who murdered the president. Aoto and Seizawa interviews with many of the employes who were there during the time of the incident. But most of their alibis seems legitimate.
Fast forward to the end of this episode, Enomoto deduces how this incident occurred. He claims that the sniping incident and the threatening letters that the president received were all a fake. He concluded that this whole incident was set up by the president himself. However, Enomoto get interrupted by a detective and confronts him that it was Enomot who murdered the president. He explains that Enomoto has met the president in the past while he was installing security system at his home. Right after that, someone broke into the president's home and Enomoto was blamed for that incident. But it turns out that Enomoto was innocent and he had nothing to do with the beak in. Ever since that incident, Enomoto isolated himself from others and has been holing himself in a storage room. The detective believes that Enomoto is holding a grudge against the president and has intentions of killing him. Enomoto denies it, but the detective decides to take him to a station for further questioning.
As Enomoto was about to leave with them, in a perfect timing, he gets a quick glimpse of Tamaki Hiroshi as a window cleaner, who happens to be just outside the window, just before he leaves.
Thoughts: I really have a strong feeling that Tamaki might be the real suspect, since the suspects in this drama are really easy to point out, but maybe this time I could be wrong. This is just my theory about Enomoto: If Enomoto does have some sort of criminal record in the past, then that would probably make sense because he knows his way around locks and other security systems. But if not, then probably this is all just a misunderstanding or he could have been framed. But wow, such a awesome cliff hanger ending, and I am actually excited to see how the finale will turn out. I cannot wait to watch it. The suspense is killing me!
