Story
Amu Hinamori is a student at Seiyo Elementary, where she has a reputation for being "cool and spicy"; however, her real personality is that of an extremely shy and easily intimidated girl. One night Amu makes a wish that she would have the courage to be reborn as her "would-be" self. The next morning Amu finds three brightly colored eggs—red, blue, and green—in her bed. Each egg eventually hatches into a Guardian Character: Ran, Miki, and Su. Guardian Characters are angel-like beings that aid a person into becoming their "would-be" selves and fulfill the person's dreams. The Guardian Characters accomplish this by giving encouragement and advice, but they can also temporarily change a person's personality and abilities. With the Guardian Characters, Amu's life becomes much more complex as she now struggles to deal with her new personalities and the Seiyo Elementary Guardians—a student council group where each member has their own Guardian Character—who recruits Amu to search for and seal the X eggs and X Characters, corrupted forms of people's dreams. Thoughts: I usually don't watch children animated shows anymore simply because I grew out of them. For some reason, I was in the mood for a school and light romance genre, and mostly I was watching this series because of that. Although, I wasn't really interested in the story itself, but I actually find the main characters to be interesting enough to motivate me to watch the whole seasons. Each character has their own different personalities and they even have their own insecurities that they need to overcome and learn to accept themselves for who they are. Which this was mostly what the whole character development was all about. I especially liked the Ikuto character. He's dark, mysterious, and loves to tease Amu, which is an obvious sign that he likes her. But behind his bad boy image, he does have a story to tell. The whole Ikuto story arc and the teasing moments with Amu were fun to watch. There is a third season for this series, but I heard that Ikuto is not going to appear in the third season which was a big disappointment, so I decided no to watch it. No Ikuto, no season three for me.
